Girl Scouts

“Girl Scouts of the USA is the world’s preeminent organization dedicated solely to girls—all girls—where, in an accepting and nurturing environment, girls build character and skills for success in the real world. In partnership with committed adult volunteers, girls develop qualities that will serve them all their lives, like leadership, strong values, social conscience, and conviction about their own potential and self-worth.” Girl Scouts of the USA Website “Who We Are “

As a girl scout for ten years, I appreciate the significance the Girl Scouts had in my life. It is my goal to use the resources that the Girl Scouts provide with my passion and determination to help girls throughout the state of Missouri to take an active role in building their own successful future. This is done through volunteer work, community service, goal setting, and self respect.

Throughout my year as Miss Gateway to the West 2010, I will devote my time to Girl Scouts across the state of Missouri through volunteering, appearances, and being apart of the character building that is already taking place because of this wonderful organization.
